Pharmaceutical Warehouse Expansion

This intervention involved the expansion of a pharmaceutical warehouse in Prato, which supplies 400 pharmacies across the region.  

The expansion consists of a warehouse with a useful internal height of 8.50 m, where future automated storage is planned.  

The load-bearing structure was made of steelwork (steel columns and trusses with non-parallel chords), with cladding made of fire-resistant metal sandwich panels and a roof also in sandwich panels.  

For fire protection, dry systems were used. The construction was carried out while the warehouse was still in operation, allowing the company to continue its work; to speed up the process, a steel frame structure was chosen—adequately fire-protected—with metal sandwich panel cladding.
