Eco and Seismic Renovation of Colonial Buildings

The project involved the energy and seismic upgrading of colonial buildings in the municipality of Castiglion Fiorentino, leveraging the incentives provided by the DL 34/2020 (Superbonus 110%).

These buildings, historically used as homes for tenant farmers and agricultural annexes, were built non-systematically, with alterations and expansions over the years to meet the changing needs of the tenants.

The structures feature mixed masonry, primarily squared stone with brick inserts, and a variety of floor types, including vaulted brick and wooden beams, depending on the construction period and use.

Roofs are uniformly wooden structures topped with brick. The renovation included comprehensive upgrades to floors and parts of the internal masonry, enhancing the overall static and seismic performance. Energy improvements involved roof insulation, heating system overhaul, and window replacement.
