This project involved the seismic improvement and fire safety upgrade of the building housing the former G. Modena cinema/theater in Vaiano.
The main load-bearing structure, built between the 1950s and 1960s, is masonry with a rectangular footprint of 37.80 x 27.60 meters and a maximum height of about 12 meters.
The renovation aimed at seismic enhancement using reinforced plaster technology and structural improvements to parts of the roof and secondary structures.
Fire safety upgrades included creating evacuation routes and installing a new EI 60-rated false ceiling in the cinema's main hall.
